Life long Michigan residents - Randall and Lisa Libby spend their summers collecting petoskey stone and fossil from the Lake Michigan shoreline between Ludington and Mackinaw City.
The Michigan petoskey stone is considered the most desirable variety.
The petoskey stone that we use is collected by us. We cut, shape and polish
every piece by hand in our studio.
Every piece of PETOSKEY STONE ART we make is totally unique.
We are showing ( The Worlds Largest Petoskey Stone Display ) at the 2015 Grand Rapids Art Prize event. We will be at Devos Place from Sept. 23rd thru Oct. 11th. This incredibly huge piece of art stands over 9 feet tall by 9 feet wide, weighing over 600 lbs. The subject matter is a State of Michigan map.
